If you’re new to the world of wireless communication, I’d recommend not making the jump. Choose your transmitter carefully because there are so many choices on how they work.
You can get a cheap transmitter, or get a good one that will last for years and run reliably. But it’s not enough to just buy one blindly. You need to consider which one(s) will give you the best results out of each given microphone. Advantages of radio microphones
It’s a fact that radio microphones are more popular than handheld microphones, but that doesn’t mean that they’re inferior. They are still very useful and in certain situations better suited than handheld microphones.
Handheld transmitters do have advantages over their bodypack counterparts, but they’re not everyday needs. For example, if you want to record yourself and post it online, or if you want to carry equipment with you while traveling on social media platforms like Facebook, the bodypack transmitter is a better choice than the handheld transmitter.
A weapon-grade microphone for use in battle is preferable over a consumer grade microphone for casual use. The advantage of the latter is its long battery life. If you just want listen to music for a long period of time without having to recharge every single day. Then the consumer-grade microphone would be most suitable for you. The same goes if you want something that can use as part of action figure line or in prop set. However, they shouldn’t be used in demanding applications such as videography or recording soundtracks for games (unless the game allows it).
As far as headphones go, some people prefer to go with earbuds because they are convenient and lightweight. While others don’t mind lugging around an entire backpack full of equipment. When they need to use their headphones during an event or shooting video footage during a day out. But there are also an infinite amount of corded headphones available at various price ranges depending on your specific needs and preferences.
Disadvantages of radio microphones
Handheld microphones are popular for a wide variety of uses. In your home, you can use them for recording music or podcasts, making phone calls, and listening to the radio. You can also place them on a desk or stand to use as a speaker.
There are disadvantages to handheld microphones.
They are not loud enough to be heard in a crowded room without some kind of noise-reduction equipment.
They can be uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time, especially when traveling.
You need to make sure that it is easy to operate and adjust frequency of signal you want to record.
If you don’t have an audio interface built into your computer. Then you will need an external interface for external recording devices like smartphones and digital cameras (with USB input).
